Buy here: Boppy Comfychic hybrid baby carrier
If you read my review on the Boppy Pillow and think I’m a Boppy hater I’m here to prove you wrong. While in Virginia, my husband and I were taking our much needed break from visits and headed to Target with our little one. While piling our cart full of things we didn’t need we came across the baby carriers, there were so many and some on clearance. I already have the Baby K‘Tan Original Baby Wrap and If you want to know how I feel about that one, my review will be out soon. Anyway, we were looking for something more sturdy but not necessarily a hard shell and that’s when I picked up the Boppy ComfyChic Hybrid Baby Carrier. I grabbed it because I liked the way it looked, my husband immediately shot it down because it looked like a wrap; like the one we already had. If you’re a fan of the movie Clueless you know to never accept the first offer, so I picked up the carrier anyway and inspected it.
To my surprise the wraps were so stretchy, the box described them as “yoga inspired”. I also love the fact that the vegan “leather” is more than just aesthetically pleasing, it’s firm enough for head support and can be rolled down for when baby moves to the second stage in baby wearing: forward facing. This carrier has a weight limit of 35lbs but let’s be real, I’m in no way strapping a 35lb person to my body and carrying them around. So even with all these great aspects of this Boppy carrier, you haven’t even heard the best one, it’s a one person job. I don’t know if it’s because I have dinosaur arms but I always have had the worst time trying to get a carrier on and securing the baby but this carrier makes it so easy, I don’t need the extra set of hands to help me. The last thing about this carrier that makes it a no brainer for me, is the fact that you can fold it up and put it in its own carrying sack attached to the carrier.
If you are in the market for a baby carrier, I highly recommend the Boppy ComfyChic Hybrid carrier. It really does live up to its name, it’s comfortable to wear and feels secure enough to move around free handed. 100% go get this if you’re wanting to baby wear. I found mine on clearance, but Target isn’t the only place that sells them, be sure to check around to different stores, I’ve seen price differences of up to $25 dollars.
